My friend, a fellow traveler, often says I’m biased towards that ancient and antique peoples. Yes, the Jews won their state in 1948 and that was Israel. Then wars happened here and there and kept happening all over. Then came 1967 and with it a war so great that all was won over!
Then it became for the “yahudi”. Come 21st century and we’ve seen a tilt. Intifadas have happened and the antiques people just kept on going their way.
And now in 2011, we go to UN and ask all for a direct declaration! I still support that ancient peoples and respect and admire but this is the line. Netanyahu has had a bad personal problem but that isn’t a problem for all. Let’s have equality now and live easily so that getting water to drink or going to work isn’t a Herculean effort.
